Obituary of Emma Calkins

Emma L. Calkins 74, passed away on March 23, 2007 with her family at her side. Born on September 17, 1932, in Officer, CO. Preceded in death by sister, Joy; mother, Grace, and grandson, Daniel Pape Jr. Emma lived for many years in Oregon and Washington before she moved to Tucson in 1971. She was employed as Transportation Supervisor of various companies supplying school buses to students in the Tucson Area. She retired in 1984 due to disability. In 1994 she moved with her dear friends, Laura and Nathan Charvoz to Roswell, New Mexico until her health declined. The Family is forever grateful to the Charvoz's for taking such good care of her and giving her a wonderful quality of life. She returned to Tucson in 2003 to be closer to family. Emma is survived by daughter, Rebecca and Daniel Pape; son, James E. Calkins and loving wife, Lili. She is the proud Grandma to Jennifer (Jason) Boeger, Julie (Britten) Jay, and Jay (Monica) Calkins, Punkie AKA Sabrina Pape and Great-grandma to Dayton Lee Boeger, and friends, Susan and Mark. Memorial Service will be held at DESERT SUNSET FUNERA L HOME , 3081 W. Orange Grove Rd. Friday, March 30, 2007 at 3:00 P.M.
