Obituary of Wilbur Chamberlain

Wilbur Douglas Chamberlain Loving husband and father, Wilbur Douglas Chamberlain passed away Friday, September 21, 2007 from a long time illness of leukemia. He was born on October 8, 1935 in Kenton, Hardin County, Ohio and was the son of William H. Chamberlain and Zoa Frances Dyer. He is survived by his wife, Ann Phipps Chamberlain, who he married in Tucson on May 28, 1955. He is also survived by sons, Daniel and (Cathie) Chamberlain of Tucson, Mike and (Connie) Chamberlain of El Cajon, CA; grandchildren, Tamara and (Josh) Mummery of Surprise, AZ, Katie Chamberlain of El Cajon, CA, Kelly and (Dawn) Mortensen of Tucson, Kim and (James) Valdez of Tucson and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brother, Donnie and (June) Chamberlain of Eager, AZ; sisters, Leallah "Sis" Franklin McGonigle of Tucson and Charlotte and (Fred) Blackmore of Tucson, along with several nieces and nephews. His brother, Clifford Chamberlain of Camp Verde, AZ preceded him in death. Wilbur attended Amphi High School in Tucson. After his marriage to Ann, he worked for Mountain Bell Telephone in Tucson, Pacific Bell Telephone in El Cajon, CA and eventually retired from Clark County, NV as an electrician. A memorial service will be given by DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME, located at 3081 W. Orange Grove in Tucson on September 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The American Cancer Society
