Obituary of Ronald J. Swisher

Ronald John Swisher ORO VALLEY �" Ronald Swisher, 43, of Oro Valley passed away on the morning of February 15 after a long bout with cancer. In 1988, after a four-year stint in the US Navy, Swisher, a native of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, found employment as a technician with Raytheon in Norfolk, Virginia. While there, he obtained a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Old Dominion University in Norfolk. After a transfer to Tucson he rose rapidly to the position of Senior Electrical Engineer for Raytheon Missile Systems. Swisher was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hiking, biking, surfing, and golfing as well as camping with Danielle, his wife of 15 years, and their two daughters, Hailey, 8, and Natalie, 5. In addition to his wife and daughters, he is survived by his mother and father, Raymond and Mary Ellen Swisher, his brother Steve, and his sister, Lorie Hitz, all of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He was also blessed with a large extended family and friends too numerous to mention. Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 11 o'clock in the morning at Faith Community Church, 2551 West Orange Grove, in Tucson. Donations can be made to the Ronald J.
