Obituary of Ruby G. Dawson

Ruby was born in Harshaw, AZ on July 8,1920 to Angelita Murrieta and George Gross. She passed peacefully on June 12, 2019. She was preceded in death by husband Fred, son Fred Jr, and grandson Rick. Ruby is survived by daughters Georgia (John) Hernandez, Kathy Musante, Barbara Dawson, and daughter-in-law, Chari Dawson . Ruby had 5 grandchildren Andrea Hernandez, Lisa (Jesse) Bischoffer, Steve Dawson, Stephanie Musante, and Ana Dawson (Scott Leon); great grandchildren Andrea, Jayden, Sophia, Angelina and Liam, and many nieces and nephews. Ruby was a social, fun-loving person who loved spending time with family and friends. She was a weekly participant at El Rio Neighborhood Center to play her favorite games - bingo and lotteria. She was also a 50-year member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, first with St. Monica Court, then with St. Augustine Court 1227. She served as Regent, Secretary, and Treasurer and other positions in her many years of membership. We will be celebrating her life on July 8 at Most Holy Trinity Church, 1300 N Greasewood.
