Obituary of James D. "Jim" Hubbard

James D. “Jim” Hubbard, 74, of San Manuel, Arizona, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 in Tucson, Arizona.  He was born in Deming, N.M., the first of five children born to Robert Edward “R.E.” Hubbard, Jr.  & Ruby Frances Hodge.  He attended several grade schools & then Hayden High School in Hayden, Arizona.  He was a Vietnam Veteran, U.S. Marines.  Jim married Linda Barnby, his wife of 50 years.

Jim worked in mining most of his life with the last two mines being, Magma Copper, San Manuel & retiring from Round Mountain Gold in Nevada.

He is survived by his wife & children, Pam & Steve (Jaime) & his sister Lana. Also by six grandchildren: Derek (Kim), Nathan (Sam), Hailey, Alex, Marcus & Vince & two great-grandchildren: Sophie, Symon & one more on the way.  Jim also leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews & many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents & three bothers: Frank, Bill & Dick.         

Jim enjoyed many things: hunting & fishing with his son & friends, playing cards, dominoes & watching movies with his daughter, gambling in Laughlin &  grilling (which he was excellent at).   He especially loved just visiting with his children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

This saying which has been around for years, expresses how we all feel about Jim……

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
