Obituary of Jalynny "Lynn" Wilson

Jalynny “Lynn” Wilson, 69, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020.  She was born in Sukhothai, Thailand on December 14, 1950, the second of five children born to Police Sgt. Major Vid and Mrs. Prasit Suwanakanit.  

She attended English and Citizenship classes in Anchorage, AK and received her U.S. Certificate of Naturalization in 1975.  She was a Vietnam Veteran and served in both the Thai and U.S. Navys. 

Lynn met and married Sam Wilson, her husband of 31 years, in San Diego, California.  She worked as an electronic technician for Loral Instrumentation, in San Diego, and later for Burr Brown in Tucson, Arizona.

She is survived by her husband Sam Wilson, her brothers and sisters, Pongsak, Aree, and Pichit.  Her children Patcharee Suwanakanit & John Gilbert (wife Ritchelle Martin). and five grandchildren: Deem Suwanakanit, Idear Suwanakanit, Bella Martin,  Caiden Wilson, and Jordan Wilson.  Lynn also leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews & many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents (Vid & Prasit) & younger sister Yopadee Phathong.         

Lynn was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid sports fan and participant; following her beloved Arizona Wildcat Basketball and Football teams, fishing in California, Indiana, and Ohio, and participating in work and church league softball.  She loved her two dogs, Sasha and Lessie, but her greatest love of all was reserved for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She loved to share with others what Christ had done for her.

Lynn has been an incredible blessing to all who have come in contact with her, and she will leave a void in our hearts that will never be filled.
