Buddy was my first supervisor at AZGFD. I learned a lot from him before he climbed the ladder to Director. I remember that he loved Dr. Pepper as when he patrolled with me the day after I graduated from the LE academy I was able to turn in numerous bottles for their deposit. I guess he was aware that starting WMs would take any extra money they could scrounge. He had a ready and distinctive laugh that I can still hear after so many years. I hadn't seen Buddy for a few years when he was down with his boys Mearn's hunting but I spoke to him on the phone recently a couple times to share our medical issues. He was very positive in his attitude even when faced with what was in front of him. That's an act to follow.
