Obituary of Stephen Boyd Holder

On Tuesday March 16th, 2021, Stephen Boyd Holder has lost his battle with cancer. Loving father to his only son Connor, he passed away at the age of 50. 

Stephen was born on  November 14th, 1970 in Tucson, AZ to Michael Duane and Ruth Anne (Hardin) Holder. 

Stephen was a lover of music, animals, and nature. He was employed at Bayview Asset Management where he was a Redisclosure Specialist and very well known in the Tucson music community. As a DJ (DJ Cain) for over 25 years, he started the Asylum Nights in various venues, until he opened up his own Club Asylum Downtown Tucson for 5 years. 

Stephen was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Anne, his paternal grandparents, George and Mary Holder, and his maternal grandparents,John W. Hardin and Lucille Delph. He is survived by his father Michael, his stepmother  Elisabeth, his son Connor, his sisters Katie and Méghan, his nieces Kalee and Charlotte, his nephews Bobby and Sébastien, his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and his girlfriend Lynn. 

He wished his ashes to be spread in the Grand Teton Mountains, in Wyoming. A celebration of his life will be held in Tucson on Saturday April 24th, 2021 with family and on Sunday April 25th, 2021 with friends. For more information, please contact his Sister Katie at 520-461-3109.
