Tasha Hernandez

Obituary of Tasha Elizabeth Hernandez

It is with great sadness we are announcing the passing of Tasha E Hernandez, 45, of Tucson. She passed away peacefully at home on August 31.  Tasha was born on November 15, 1975 to Bud C. and Rosa M. Smith in Tucson.

Tasha was a very hard worker and had many jobs during her life including at the airport, Suntran, and a newspaper printer.....the list could go on and on she worked all the time. She and Juan married and were inseparable from that point on. They were married for 28 years and had three children and adopted four of their nieces and nephews. Tasha was a strong and dedicated mother while raising seven equally strong children. She lived to help her family by supporting them through passions and the difficulties life presented. Whether that was being by her husband’s side through a liver transplant, caring for her mother as she suffered with cancer, or by spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. No matter the circumstance, she always made it her purpose to improve the lives of others.

Tasha was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa M. Smith, and her grandfather, Ronald “Ski”. She is survived by her husband, Juan L. Hernandez; father, Bud Smith; grandma, Betty; sister and brother, Shawna Smith and Bud Smith Jr.; sons, Christopher Hernandez, Juan L. Hernandez Jr., Francisco Hernandez, Israel A. Hernandez, and Joshua Hernandez; daughters, Sierra Hernandez and Rosa Hernandez; grandchildren, Manny, Sophia, Jacelynn, Jhovanny, Isaly, Lliyana and Meilani; as well as many beloved relatives and friends.
