Obituary of Antonio Gonzalez

Antonio (Tony) Luis Gonzalez, age 51, of Tucson, Arizona passed away in the early morning of  September 21, 2021. Tony was born and raised in Morton Grove, Illinois and graduated from Notre Dame High School for boys, Niles, IL.  Initially starting his sales representative journey and forming solid relationships at KVOA, Tony ultimately found a family at KOLD. His first job at the movie theater as an assistant manager sparked his passion for movies and his endless and rapid-fire recall of movie quotes.  Tony married Shannon, nee Briggs, on November 4, 2000. Tony most enjoyed spending time with his four children, playing basketball and attending the soccer games and gymnastics meets of his children.   He is survived by his four children, Gabriella, Aiden, Sophia and Liam, his nine siblings, Barbara, Carmela, Rodolfo, Martin, Rebeca, David, Roberto, Eduardo and Ricardo along with twenty-three nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his mother Josephine and preceded in death by his father, Rodolfo Gonzalez. Tony is loved by many, he touched so many lives and will be missed dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:30 am at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 11575 N. First Avenue, Oro Valley, AZ 85737 with an open house to follow at Tony’s house.
