Obituary of John William Lindsey

John William Lindsey passed away peacefully on June 30, 2022, at 70 years old. He resided in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona for 31 years.

He was born on January 07, 1952, to William Jacob Lindsey and Betty May (Shook) Beal, and grew up in Columbus, Ohio, with his two older brothers and one older sister.  

In 1972 John joineed the army and served for a total of 6 years, and in those years, he was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX, Camp Humphrey, Korea, and Ft. Lewis, WA. He was ranked as an E-5 Sergeant and was honorably discharged in 1977.

John owned an auto shop where he worked a mechanic, then worked as a hazmat semi-truck driver for 40 years. 

John loved watching  NASCAR, riding motorcycles, planning trips & vacations, and family Christmas activities. Recently, he was able to travel back to Ohio, to reconnect with and help his brother who was in a car accident to regain his health. 

John is survived by his wife Lou Ann Lindsey of Phoenix, AZ; his children Lonnie (Becky) Lindsey of Humboldt, NE; Charlie (Amanda) Lindsey of Tucson, AZ; John H. Lindsey and Kathleen Linsey of Phoenix, AZ; his siblings Robert Lindsey, Sr of Ravenna, OH; Shirley (David) Looney-Walker of Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law Terry Lindsey of KY; and 3 grandchildren Jonah, Abigail, and Hannah. Along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins with families. 

John was preceded in death by his Mother Betty May Beal, Father William Jacob Lindsey, his Brother Harold Lindsey and Brother-In-Law James H. Looney. 

Celebration of life to be arranged for sometime in the fall if possible. We respectfully decline that no flowers be sent.
