Obituary of Margaret "Peggy" Arlene Murdock

Margaret "Peggy" Arlene Murdock / Reany of Marana, Arizona Born April 13, 1949 in Youngstown, OH, went home to Jesus July 31, 2022 She was proceeded in death by Father & Mother James & Rosemary Reany. She is survived by her husband Dan Murdock, three sons, Eli Collier, Mathew & Daniel Bray, three step children, Tammie Smith, Justin & Mathew Murdock, two brothers James & Patrick Reany and two sisters Kathleen Kelley & Laura Reany. She had nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and 31 nieces & nephews.  Her children where the most important thing in her life and worked very hard with many sacrifices to support and teach them.  Her faith in Jesus throughout her life guided and comforted her.

 

Peggy was an accomplished blues, folk, & country singer who taught herself to play guitar. With her vintage Gibson Hummingbird she could pick up any tune by ear within a few minutes. She had a lifelong love of horses and riding motorcycles with her husband. She was a fierce advocate for victims of crime and led the initiative to pass a Victim’s Bill of Rights to the Constitution of Arizona in 1990.  Always looking to improve herself, she went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree with Honors from ASU at the age of 55.

 

Peggy loved Jesus, burgers, sweet potato fries, dogs, doing yoga, cooking, chocolate ice cream, traveling, beaches and spending time with family. She was 73 and she left too soon.
