Obituary of Alex G. Jones

Alex Glenn Jones, 25, passed away August 14, 2017. He is preceded in death by his father, Mark Glenn Jones, great grandparents, one of his favorite Great Uncles, James Bolgen, as well as two great aunts. Alex is survived by his mother and best friend, Shena Jones, grandparents Wallace and Carol Jones, uncle Michael Jones, great uncle John Bolgen, many cousins, as well as his girlfriend, Nichelle. He enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics beside his teammates, The Desert Dogs, in many different sports. Alex was an accomplished athlete, earning one gold, three silvers, and three bronze medals. Bowling was his event of choice. His other hobbies included making people smile, raising chickens, and selling or giving away their fresh eggs. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in Alex's memory to The Desert Dogs. His memorial service will be held at Desert Sunset Funeral Home, 3081 West Orange Grove Road, on Thursday August 24th, at 11am. Reception following at Shena and Alex's home.
