Obituary of Shirley J. Makus

Shirley Makus 86 our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a wonderful friend to everyone who knew her, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 17th, 2017 in Tucson, Arizona. She is survived by her daughter Janice Alley (Lyall) of Tucson, AZ; daughter Brenda Burcham of Tucson, AZ; son David Makus of Florence, AZ; son Marvin Makus (Connie) of Prescott Valley, AZ; son Loren Makus (Donya) of Tucson, AZ; daughter Karen Rolfe (Loris) of Cortland, OH; son Jeffrey Makus of Whidbey Island, WA; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was kept busy throughout the years by raising a very large and boisterous family, taking care of everyone around her and by being involved with her church Tucson Tabernacle since 1966 which she had attended from the time she moved to Tucson, AZ from Pasco WA . A memorial service to celebrate and remember her life will be held at Tucson Tabernacle 2555 N Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ 85705 on Sunday September 24th at 3pm. She will be buried at the East Lawn Palms Cemetery in Tucson, AZ at a later time beside her beloved husband Clarence, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her grandson Caleb Burcham.
