Obituary of Sheila Elaine Sherlock

Sherlock, Sheila Hoffman passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 25, 2009. Born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 7, 1934, she married her high school sweetheart in Jewelsberg, Colorado. Married 58 years, she is survived by her husband, Roland Sherlock; children, Joe Sherlock, Jacque Smith, Jeri Sherrick, Jamie Sherlock; brother, Mark Hoffman and sister, Mary Carmack; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Jan Sherlock; brother Alvy Hoffman and sister, Linda Craft. Sheila and Roland lived in Nebraska before arriving in Tucson in 1958. She worked in the Amphi and Catalina School Districts for many years. She enjoyed gardening, singing, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. Her family is holding a small service on Friday, August 28, 2009 at Holy Hope Mausoleum, with Fr. Angelo officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Helen Bernardy Center for Medically Fragile Children, 8022 Birmingham Dr., San Diego, CA 92123.
