Obituary of Maria Ortega Valencia

Valencia, Maria Ortega, 83, was born in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, March 26, 1926, and passed away on September 1, 2009 in Tucson, Arizona. She has resided in Tucson for the past 55 years. Maria was preceded in death by her husband Leopoldo Valencia. She is survived by her daughters, Maria (Victor) Valenzuela, Beatriz (Heberto) Canez, and Virginia Enriquez; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Mario Ortega; and sisters, Manuela Flores and Margot Blanco. She was a loving mother who loved raising her three daughters and two granddaughters. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 602 W. Ajo Way on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Raul Trevizo officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Hope Catholic Cemetery.
