Obituary of Barbara Jane Ambrosek

Barbara Jane Ambrosek, 61, of Tucson, AZ passed away August 24, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Jim Ambrosek; son, Todd (Traci) Hansberry; grandsons, Jack and Ryan Hansberry and niece Rebecca Robertson. Janie was born March 9, 1948 in Winfield, KS to Orpha Mae Maupin and Richard Jones. She was adopted by Glenn and Mary Kay Robertson in 1951. She grew up in Salina, KS and graduated from the University of Kansas in 1970. Although she spent over 25 years as a manager of federal and State of Oregon project and programs, Janie's best job was the years she spent taking care of her two grandsons. She was compassionate, courageous and forever willing to walk in the fire for her family. A celebration of her life will be held at her home on October 11, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
