Obituary of Judy Marie Munden Breitengross

Judy Marie Munden Breitengross, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2nd 2019, at Northwest Hospital in Tucson, AZ. Judy was born on June 8th, 1941 in Deer Lodge, Montana to Russel and Myrtle Munden. After they both passed at young ages, she was lovingly adopted by CK and Berma Vickrey in Peoria, Az, with whom she lived with until she attended nursing school. After nursing school, she moved to Tucson and began her career at Tucson General Hospital. Her compassion, organization, and take-charge attitude helped her achieve all of her career aspirations, including being appointed Director of Tucson General Emergency Services, and being the integral force behind a new Northwest Urgent Care at the time, that she started from the ground up. Towards the end of her career she even bravely took a position as a nurse at the local state prison. Judy spent her entire life caring for others and did so without hesitation. Her selflessness, spirit, and love of adventure has touched countless people throughout her lifetime. She lived life to the fullest, enjoying every moment. After her retirement, she immersed herself in Flyball, a sport where she interacted with her dogs, and trained them to compete at an advanced level. Judy befriended and loved all those she came in contact with and her scope of generosity stretches far and wide. She is survived by her sons, Richard and Stuart, their wives Erika and Julie, and her grandchildren, Eloise, Berenger, Mateo, and Isabella, who were the loves of her life, and who she took every opportunity to spoil endlessly. Her dear sister Celinda and her niece Perrie also filled her days with joy. So many others who she considered to be her family make for a list too lengthy to name.
