Obituary of Frank L. Vettorel

Frank L. Vettorel 03/24/1919 �" 01/29/2010 At the age of 90, Frank Passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Born in Georgetown, IL He attended Georgetown High and married his loving wife Vera M Mayoras on November 16th 1940. Frank served in the US Army during WWII and was a decorated soldier, including a purple heart medal of honor. He was preceded in death by his parents Francisco Vettorel and Louise Pellin; brother and sisters, Josephine, Giordano, Nancy Mensavage, Donald "Vit", Emma Virostek, Lena, Janie Bowen and Louise Godels. Frank is survived by his loving wife Vera of 69 years; son Frank J. Vettorel (Susan), daughter Karen M. Noble (Randell), son Joseph M. Vettorel Sr. (Mary); grandchildren, Katherine "Kitten", Lisa, Charity, Christina, Stephanie, Daniel, Joseph Jr.; great grandchildren, Cassie, Katie, Timothy and Jordyn; nieces and nephews, Jeanette, Linda, Jim, Bob and Greg. A special thank-you for the loving care and devotion given by his caregivers, Gina, Nancy, Nora, Virginia and especially Mery who was his angel to the end. Also, a special thank-you to lifetime friends, Donald & Terry Oberto and to the staff at Odyssey Hospice. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Desert Sunset Funeral Home, 3081 W. Orange Grove Rd. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at St. Cyril of Alexandria Roman Catholic Parish, 4725 E. Pima St. at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Burial will follow at Holy Hope Catholic Cemetery.
