Dear RONALD DOMINGUEZ and STEVE YELLOWHORSE in particular, (and all other relatives of CONNIE): 1. RONALD and STEVE...you don't know me from "ADAM". I have never met you before. But, I sure did know your lovely wife and mother CONNIE. I worked with CONNIE when she was employed by the US Air Force at the Davis-Monthan AFB. We worked together in the Base Contracting Office during the years 1975 thru 1980. I was a uniformed Air Force enlisted person while CONNIE was a civilian. She was a joy to work with...she knew what she was doing and why she was doing it. She was extremely knowledgeable, prompt, and thorough in everything she did. She was a tremendous asset to that office while I was stationed there. 2. Besides being a beautiful woman, I always noticed the beautiful Navajo jewelry CONNIE wore very frequently to the office. That jewelry made her even more beautiful. I often times complimented CONNIE on her jewelry. She told me the jewelry was hand-made by her sons. One day she asked me if I would like her to bring some pieces to the office for me to see. I said absolutely. A couple days later she showed-up at work with 3 or 4 pieces for me to inspect and perhaps purchase. They were all beautiful. I selected one piece...a very beautiful bracelet with 5 turquoise stones and 1 coral stone mounted in and surrounded by a huge amount of very elaborate Stirling Silver work. Inside is inscribed a 5-finger hand with STEVE YELLOWHORSE Navajo. STEVE, I have worn that bracelet you created hundreds of times both in the USA and overseas, e.g Germany and even Russia. I have received an equal number of very positive comments...and even offers to buy it off my right wrist on the spot. I still have it and do not intend to ever part with it...no matter what the offer is. STEVE, you are a master craftsman and artist. I thank your beautiful mother CONNIE for bringing it to me to see and allowing me to purchase; and you for crafting it. In closing I express my most sincere condolences to all the surviving human relatives (RON, STEVE, STEWART, SCOTT, SHARON, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren) and dog relative (GEORGE) on the passing of your beautiful wife and mother CONNIE. I am very happy to have known CONNIE during those 5-years while working with her in the Davis-Monthan AFB Contracting Office. CONNIE was a great and beautiful woman. If you wouldn't mind my presence at your private memorial service at some future date, I would be be very happy to attend if I am able (not traveling somewhere). Just for STEVE, I will wear that gorgeous bracelet you created and that I purchased from your dear mother CONNIE. I am retired from the Air Force and have no earned income. I live permanently in Tucson and would love to talk to you on the phone if you would like to call me. My numbers are: 520-299-4290 (H) and 520-979-8386 (M). My email is daigvd2@gmail.com. Sincerely yours, DOUGLAS A. VAN DORPE
