Obituary of Vera M. Vettorel

Vera M. Vettorel 1/03/1920 - 2/24/2010 at the age of 90, Vera passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Born in Westville, IL she attended Westville High and married her loving husband, Frank on November 16, 1940. Vera was a loving mother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents, Joseph A., Sr. and Julia Mayoras; brothers, Emery and Joseph A. Mayoras Jr. and sister, Mary Kmec. Vera is survived by her son, Frank J. Vettorel (Susan); daughter, Karen M. Noble (Randall), Joseph M. Vettorel Sr. (Mary); grandchildren, Katherine (Kitten), Lisa, Charity, Christina, Stephanie, Daniel, Joseph Jr.; great-grandchildren, Cassie, Katie, Timothy and Jordyn; nieces and nephews, Jeanette, Linda, Jim, Bob and Greg. A special thank-you for the loving care and devotion given by her caregivers, Gina, Nancy, Nora, Virginia, nurse Monika and above all Mery who was her angel to the end. Also a special thank you to life time friends, Donald and Terry Oberto, Mary Williams and Jeanie Hayes and God bless the dedicated staff at Odyssey Hospice for their comfort and care. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME, 3081 W. Orange Grove Rd. Mass will be celebrated at St. Cyril of Alexandria Roman Catholic Church, 4725 E. Pima St. at 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 4, 2010. Burial will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
