Obituary of James K. St. Clair

James (Jim) K. St. Clair, 66, joined his Lord and Savior on March 1, 2010 in Tucson, AZ. He was born to Orville and Hazel St. Clair on August 14, 1943 in Wyaconda, Missouri. Jim graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Chemical Engineering. His professional career included working in many manufacturing plants as an engineer and held many management positions. He met his wife, Darlene, when he moved to Wyoming to help Chevron Chemical construct and operate a grass roots phosphate fertilizer plant. They retired to Tucson, AZ in 1999 so Jim could pursue his passion for golf. He briefly returned to employment and worked for Evergreen Air Center. Jim loved flying, golfing, reading, and fishing. Most of all, he loved his Missouri Tigers. Jim was always known by his friends for his infectious smile and charismatic personality. Jim was loved by many and will be missed He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Orville (Pete) St. Clair, Jr.; sister, Nedra Lee Gibbs, and brother-in-law Don Batty. He is survived by his wife and best friend Darlene; daughters, Jenny Perez and Tammy Rice; son-in-law Adam Rice; granddaughter Avery; mother and father in law Curtis and Elaine Batty; brother-in-law, Russ Gibbs, Eugene, Wayne (Kris), and Gary (Jilynn) Batty; sister-in-law, Martha St. Clair and Hazel (Galen) Myers; nieces, Linda Kramer (Bruce Manley) and Pam St. Clair (Tom Hall); nephews, Vern St. Clair (Mary Beth), Randy (Charlene) and Andy Gibbs (Kelli), several great and great great nieces and nephew. A memorial will be held Saturday, March 6 at the Barrier Chapel of Casas Adobes Church at 10801 N. La Cholla Blvd. in Tucson, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Casa de la Luz Hospice Fountain, 400 W. Magee, Tucson, AZ 85704 or Casas Adobe Benevolent Service Funds #569.
