Obituary of Dorothy De Stefano

DE STEFANO, Dorothy (nee Kosbab), on September 29, 2010 Dorothy quietly passed away in Tucson. Born in Chicago, Illinois on July 19, 1919, Dorothy lived a full and rewarding life. In early adulthood she enjoyed traveling and always visiting family and friends. An avid card player, she loved pulling a few slots plus playing keno, bingo and other games of chance. She married Edward De Stefano in 1943, beginning their life together in Monterey, California where son, William (Mary) was born. After returning to the Chicago area, Richard and Scott (Maggie) were born. Dorothy lived in Villa Park for over 40 years, moving to Tucson in 1997 enjoying a happy, independent life. Her husband preceded her in death (1969), as have her two sisters, Myra (Fields) and Gladys. Her brother, Otto now lives in Surprise, AZ. Besides being a dedicated and loving mother, her legacy lies in the future potential of her grandchildren, Edward (Lisa), Lisa (Jason Hancovsky), Zach, Lily, Ava Marie, Patrick (Angie) and Jarrod and great- grandchildren, Chris, Dillon, J.T., Zerena and Harmony. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Villa Park, Illinois. Arrangements by DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME.
