Obituary of Gerald Vincent Goetsch

Gerald Vincent Goetsch passed away the morning of August 13, 2021, in Tucson, Arizona.

He was born on February 18, 1938 in Ottawa, Illinois, to James and Helen Goetsch. Gerald married the love of his life, JoAnn on March 12, 1960. He resided in Illinois until summer of 1974. The remainder of his years were spent in Show Low and Tucson Arizona.

Gerald enjoyed time with his family and loved them deeply. Camping and fishing were his most loved family activities. He cooked the best breakfast ever on a camp stove. His taste in burnt hotdogs and marshmallows made his family shake their heads and snicker around the campfire. He liked staying busy in the yard and fixing things around the house. His sense of humor was never ending and he enjoyed making others laugh.

Gerald’s memory and love lives on with his wife of 61 years JoAnn, son Scott (Clemencia) Goetsch, daughter Debbie (John) Luper, brothers Thomas (Sandra) Goetsch, Raymond (Carolyn) Goetsch, sisters Sharon Kaczorowski, Patricia Benitez, three grandchildren Ivony (EJ) Forrest, Shayla Luper, Emily Luper and four great-grandchildren Christopher Luper, Julia Luper, Hunter Forrest, Brodie Forrest.  Mother-in-law Geraldine Kepich.
