Obituary of Tim Alan Geffre

 

Tim Alan Geffre, a long-time resident of Tucson, Arizona passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the age of 66.

 

Tim is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Sarah Geffre; his brothers, Ron Geffre (Terry) and Lynn Geffre (Yvette); his children, Derek Geffre (Megan) and Dana Geffre; his grandchildren, Zayne Geffre (Kacey), Zavier Ripplinger, Sage and Sylas Geffre; and his great grand-daughter, Finleigh. Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Bashus as well as his father, Raymond Geffre and mother, Erma Backhaus.

 

Tim was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on April 2, 1955 to Raymond and Erma. He served for the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist and went on to build a successful career in the auto body industry. He married his sweetheart and love of his life, Sarah on May 11, 1991 and they’ve spent their life together in Tucson, AZ.

 

Anyone who had the joy of knowing Tim, knew he loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He was a talented drummer and played with the Don Hruby Band for several years. Tim had an avid love for classic Mopar muscle cars, racing, fishing and Elvis. He was spiritual, resourceful and enjoyed living a simple, honest life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

 

A celebration of life service will be held on September 18, 2021 at 10:00am at Desert Sunset Funeral Home in Tucson, AZ. The service will be live streamed for anyone unable to attend in person. Please use the Tribute Wall to post and share memories.
