Obituary of Naomi Kathryn Mantonya

 Naomi Kathryn Mantonya Sept. 21, 1926 – Dec. 16, 2022

Naomi Kathryn Mantonya, born September 21, 1926, in Montgomery County, Indiana to Franklyn and Minnie Holladay. She went to her heavenly home the morning of December 16, 2022, in Tucson, Arizona.

She was the very proud mother of five children: Shirley (Chip) Clark; Terry (Judy) Carter; Allen (Esther) Carter, both deceased; Sandy (Harless) Oscislawski; Sharon (Lynn) Cook, and 11grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Earl Carter and second husband Lewis Mantonya.

Her life was her family. Because of her love and guidance, we are blessed to be a very close knit family. She will always be the center of our lives. What better legacy could she leave.

Broken Chain

We little knew the day that

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you didn’t go alone.

For part of us went with you

the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories.

Your love is still our guide.

And though we cannot see you

You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken

and nothing seems the same,

but as God calls us one by one

the chain will link again.
