Obituary of Robert R. Culver

 

Robert R. Culver was born June 17, 1938 in Omaha, Nebraska to Robert E. & Lila Beatrice (Musselman) Culver.  He attended elementary schools in Fairbury, Nebraska, Concordia, Kansas, & was graduated from High School In Grand Island, Nebraska.  He attended Kearney State College in Kearney, Nebraska.

 

Bob’s career was spent in the banking business as a mortgage broker.  He worked many years at Norwest Bank in Omaha & served as president of the Nebraska Mortgage Bankers Association.

In 1992 he moved to Lincoln, Ne & worked at West Gate Bank.

 

Bob was an avid horseman who trained & showed Paint Horses. He built and managed his own horse barn in northwest Omaha and rented stalls & helped ”his kids” learn to  take care of and show their horses.  He enjoyed traveling to participate in shows with them.

 

Bob married his wife, Sandra Rehmer in 1995 and the following year they retired and became Arizonans, when they moved to Green Valley.

 

He is survived by his wife, Sandy, one son, Michael (Kathy)Culver of Grand Junction, CO and his ”adopted family”, Rex (Jane) Rehmer of David City, NE, Heidi Kennedy of Edmund, OK and Ryan(Lynn) Rehmer of Lincoln, Ne and several “grands” & “great-grands”.  Also surviving are his beloved nieces ,Tish (Mark) Roland of Cape Coral, FL, Deb Miller of Littleton, CO and Doug (Linda) Fuller of Ogallala, NE.

 

Bob went to his eternal rest on July 18,2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his only sister, Barbara Fuller Santero of Ogallala,Ne.

Bob was a kind & gentle soul who loved people & animals. He loved to travel and share time with family & friends.  At his request, there will be no local services. His cremains will be distributed at a later date.
