Obituary of Karen F. Hoggan

 

Karen F. Hoggan died peacefully at home on July 28, 2023. Karen was born in Logan Utah on March 10, 1951 to parents Leonard and Opal Hobbs. She was the 4th child born out of seven. Roy Hobbs, Iona Idaho, Trena Purser Preston Idaho, Brent Hobbs deceased, Roland Hobbs deceased, David Hobbs deceased, and Tammy Bingham Preston Idaho. Karen met her husband Lynn Hoggan at Ricks College. They were married on June 7, 1971. She had 6 boys Jason Hoggan - Heber City Utah, Jamie Hoggan -John’s Creek Georgia, Andrew Hoggan - Heber City Utah, Jonathan Hoggan -Tucson Arizona, Matthew Hoggan - Tucson Arizona, and Nathan Hoggan deceased.  She also is survived by 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Karen’s family moved several times when she was young. They finally settled in her home town of Preston Idaho. After marriage to Lynn they lived in the Ogden Utah area where her first 4 children were born.  She then moved to Tucson Arizona in 1980. Karen had a full life raising 6 Boys while she attended and served in several callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. Later in life she enjoyed traveling in her motor home, spending time on the West Coast and visiting family. There will be a viewing at Desert Sunset 3081 W Orange Grove Road, Held Monday August 7, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and a grave side service and grave dedication at Binghamton Cemetery 4001N Alvernon Way at Tuesday August 8, 2023 starting at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints Humanitarian Aid program.
