As teachers, Jane and Clair enjoyed exploring the country on their summer vacations and Jane adopted “On the Road Again” as her beloved anthem. Jane and Clair also shared their passion for travel on memorable summer adventures with their children. Jennifer and Edmund were gifted with a teacher in their Mother and empowered by her love, encouragement, and guidance through the years. Her wisdom helped them to be resilient and curious.
In retirement, Jane and Clair set out to see more states in their RV including a special return trip to the Alaska Highway. Jane and Clair moved to the Tucson area in 2005. In Tucson, Jane remained an avid reader and enjoyed many new interests.
Jane is survived by her loving husband of just shy of 54 years, Clair Kretschmann, her daughter Jennifer Kretschmann of New Orleans, LA, and her son Edmund Kretschmann of Seabeck, WA. She was predeceased by her dear parents John and Jane Wilson, her cherished sister, Jennifer Donahue of Liverpool, NY, and her adored brother, John Wilson of Helena, MT.
To honor Jane’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests charitable donation to the American Heart Association or CROP To End World Hunger.
