Obituary of Lita C. Maldonado

LITA C. MALDONADO

Lita Maldonado 94, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023 at St Nicolas Assisted Living. She was born in Virden, New Mexico in 1929 and graduated from Morenci High School in 1948. She was preceded in death by her brothers Fred and Albert Calderon and her twin sister Lumina Molina. She married Robert (Beto) Maldonado (who preceded her in death in 2019) in 1950.

Lita lived most of her life in the Clifton-Morenci area until her move to Tucson in 1992. Lita was a wonderful and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always welcomed her family and friends. She was a devoted Catholic and had many friends.

She leaves behind her son Bob Maldonado (Kathleen) and their children: Jeanette, Robert and Michael, her daughter Rhoda Velasquez (Danny) and their children: Duane and Mark; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

We take solace in knowing there is a big reunion in heaven right now. Memorial services will be privately held with close family members.
