Obituary of Leonard S Zielinski

Leonard S Zielinski (91) of Oro Valley AZ (formerly from South Milwaukee WI) passed away peacefully at his home on June 4, 2023, surrounded by family.

Leonard, fondly known as Butch or Papa Z, was born to Joseph and Catherine Zielinski on June 20, 1931 in South Milwaukee, WI. He joined the navy right out of high school and spent 4 years serving our country in the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Annette on May 29, 1954. They went on to have seven children, Marty (Julia) Zielinski, Cathy (Paul) Parisi, Nick (Karlene) Zielinski, Chris Zielinski, Robin (Dennis) Ramstack, Jeri (Terry) Switalski and Jennifer (Bob) Huls. He has 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren with one on the way.

Len loved himself a good yard sale and you could always find him every Friday and Saturday searching for that buried treasure to give to one of his kids and grandkids or anyone who walked in his door! He was the most generous man when it came to his finds. If you mentioned you were looking for something he would show up with it within a week of two of your request. No need to buy toys for your kids – he had you covered. Jewelry was his specialty – need a special gift for your honey or some jewels for a special event – he had it.

He was a man of great faith – loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart and was excited to finally meet with Him face to face. We’re sure he heard the words “well done good and faithful servant.
