In a few short words, Mal was my dad, the older brother I never had and one of the warmest, wittiest Christian role models you could want. He made it a point to know everyone in the neighborhood and kept current on what was going on. You met Mal and you immediately felt comfortable with him and that he cared about you. And his sense of humor was priceless. More than our good times together I will remember and reflect on what I saw in Mal and the goodness that came into my life through him.
